Which blendtec blender should i buy12/15/2023 ![]() ![]() As I mentioned the milling blade is also great for pulverizing dry ingredients (chia seeds in particular are very hard to combine in a smoothie without grinding them first, so this blade is particularly nice for that type of thing.) The Nutribullet also beats the hell out of a cheap Oster blender when it comes to making smoothies. I would recommend the Nutribullet to anyone who wants to quickly whip up protein shakes and smoothies every day without much cleanup. I want to say I was seeing the aforementioned reviews on Amazon. I don't have any first hand experience because mine actually came back from the dead, but I was getting veeeery nervous reading about the myriad of terrible CS experiences that others had when they ran into problems with their Nutribullets. This is not a food processor or a Vitamix though, and it will not play nicely with very thick substances like hummus (almost broke mine trying to make some.) Also, you can't do hot ingredients because it will pressurize very quickly, and that would be bad news.Īnother thing to beware of is the apparently horrid customer service associated with this product. I have the NutriBullet (which if you're not familiar is essentially the Magic Bullet on steroids.) It handles making smoothies using frozen ingredients (including ice) easily as long as there's some liquid (can't do much if everything freezes together, hanging above the blade) and you can use the milling blade for grinding seeds and stuff like that.
